Virtual Book Fairs
** Virtual Book Fair Update**
We are now fully booked until Easter holidays. After which we will be taking a break from fairs for the summer term to reassess the running of them. With a shift in schools wanting more in person book fairs and a rise in the costs of book and shipping we need to make sure they are running productively whilst still offering our affordable prices for parents. We shall update as soon as possible.
Our aim is to make book fairs affordable with a great range of both fiction and non fiction books by popular and well known authors whilst still allowing schools to earn free books.
Our virtual book fairs have been running since 2019. In that time schools have redeemed over 18,000 free books!
Virtual book fairs are available to all UK mainland schools and groups.
How do they work..
- Your fair will run for one week, a full 7 days so parents also have the weekend to shop.
- During that week parents and staff will be able to order direct from our website.
- All books are brand new and just £2.99 each.*
- To get free delivery parents need to put in their child's name and class, and the schools address in the delivery section. This is clearly marked and a 'how to' video is available here for anyone who is unsure.
- At the end of your fair we will send all orders to school for you to hand out. Each order will be individually wrapped in a sealed eco friendly bag with the child's name and class on.
- We will provide you with a digital pack to help promote your fair.
- There are no minimum or maximum amounts you have to order and no shipping fees.

*Through out the year we do have craft items and various book offers which vary in price. These are available to your parents to purchase however these items do not count towards your free books
Free books for school…
The exciting bit!
For every 5 (£2.99) books your parents and staff collectively purchase you can choose another 1 free! Your free book quota can be redeemed against any individual books priced at £2.99 including teaching resources. Your code will not work on items with a different price point.
We will send you a redeeming email soon after your fair has ended with your unique code to use on our website. This includes free shipping of your chosen books.

Eco policy: At Books for Bugs we do our best to help the environment. We have moved all advertising materials to a digital format. All orders are sent in strong paper bags and our outer boxes are even manufactured on the same business park where we are based and are delivered on foot! Finally, by all parents ordering together this results in just one delivery to school which is much better for the environment.
